Dani Completes Her HR Apprenticeship
We’re pleased to share that a member of the A1 Loo Hire team, Dani Sanderson, has successfully completed her HR apprenticeship! Dani was looking for career progression but the Loo Hire team didn’t want to lose her from her from her current role. We offered Dani the opportunity to complete her HR Apprenticeship within A1 Loo Hire with the view to Dani becoming a core member of the HR and payroll team. Dani has provided a great summary of what the course entailed below;
‘’I have completed my HR CIPD level 3 Qualification in People Practice, which took me a total of 13 months to complete. The course required consistent study (I completed a 3,000 word essay every 4 weeks!) alongside my usual work and was assessed through a written essay and a professional discussion, both of which contributed to my overall grade.
Throughout the course, I developed knowledge across a wide range of HR areas, including employee inductions, wellbeing in the workplace and how to handle sensitive and confidential situations appropriately. I also gained a deeper understanding of employee relations, the importance of fair and consistent processes, and how HR can support both employees and managers in achieving positive outcomes.
I believe this qualification will benefit both A1 and myself in the long term. As the first internal HR team member, I can act as a familiar and approachable point of contact for employees, providing day to day support and guidance. Having an internal HR presence means any issues can be addressed promptly by me and HR can then be more embedded in the culture of A1 rather than operating solely from an external perspective. I think this compliments Sean, our external HR, allowing managers to continue to access specialist advice from him while employees benefit from consistent, on-site HR support from me. My goal is to help grow and strengthen the HR function internally so everyone can feel supported. ‘’
Claire Djemal followed Dani’s progress through the course and joined all reviews with the course leaders ‘’It was an absolute pleasure having involvement in Dani’s apprenticeship. Her dedication to the course has been incredible and she’s already implemented some key changes and policies into the business. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the HR function within the business grows and develops with Dani’s input and involvement.’’
